Now that summer has finally come to an end, I thought I'd do a little post about some of the fun we had. It was a cool, but wonderful summer. 
The cottage was a fun getaway once again. Our kiddos LOVE the water! Whenever we are there, and no matter the weather, they are in the water almost the whole time! If they do get sick of that, there is always fishing, riding the SeaDoo or kayak, or playing in the yard. We even found a great little U-Pick blueberry patch nearby. YUM! Over Labor Day, Grandpa and Grandma brought up a little fire pit, which was a huge hit with both Dylan and Hannah. Both were asking for s'mores all weekend long! Now the cottage days are over and we miss them! How crazy next summer will be with 3 little ones... oh boy!
We have also really enjoyed going to the Meijer Gardens and the Zoo this summer. What wonderful gifts these memberships have been! Here are a few pictures of Hannah playing in the Great Lakes water pool at the gardens. She's not afraid of getting wet, that's for sure!
Our backyard has been fun this summer too! Dylan loves to dig in the sandbox with his big trucks and Hannah loves to either climb up the slide or swing for hours. Both love the little pool and slip n' slide! I'm sure each will get a lot more use next summer.

Both Dylan and Hannah know exactly where their favorite books are. I'm not quite sure how our bag gets filled up so quickly, but it sure gets heavy! Gotta love the library! If we are sick of the library, we try to find fun things to do at home. Painting has become a fast favorite, as well as playing games over and over and over again!
