One Year Ago... St. Lucia

We joined Chris, Tracy, & Kerin on a mountain bike tour of the rainforest and Eerd Falls in St. Lucia. The island is so lucious and green! Jon, Kerin, & Chris actually got to climb the waterfall. It was a fun excursion!

Here we are by the Petit Piton while the sun set on one side of us while the moon rose on the other. God created such a gorgeous world!

One Year Ago... Antigua

On the island of Antigua, Jon & I took a taxi tour. It was a fun way to see the island. It was probably one of my favorite tours because we got to see the "real" island and the people instead of all the touristy stuff.

English & Falmouth Harbors (our next vacation stop!)

We stopped at Darkwood Beach for a couple of hours before heading back to the ship. This is where we wrote our "baby announcement" in the sand!

One Year Ago... St. Maarten

Today we split up a little. Jon, Chris, and Dad went sailing on the America's Cup Sailing Regatta while Kerin, Mark, & I went on a ropes course through the rain forest. Kerin & I also went seadooing in the port. What a fun day in the sun!

Silly Dylan

Dylan and I were looking at pictures today and came across this one. We were talking about how silly everyone looked. Dylan said, "Uncle Reed is silly, Mom. He is picking his nose. He is naughty." Yes, that was funny, but what made me laugh a little more was that I'm pretty sure it is Uncle Eric's finger (not picking Reed's nose, but giving Dad bunny ears)!

He also made me smile this morning... Hannah was fussing a little but then got quiet while Dylan was playing. He came up to me and said, "Mom, Sweetie is sleeping." I wasn't sure who he was talking about, maybe one of this toys, so I asked who Sweetie was. "It is Hannah, she is my sweetie." How adorable! I guess he does like her after all! =)

One Year Ago... St. Thomas

St. Thomas was by far the most gorgeous port!

The "kids" headed to Coki Beach to do some snorkeling. The water was beautiful! I wish I was there today...

One Year Ago Today... San Juan

One year ago we were in San Juan, Puerto Rico boarding the Serenade of the Seas for our Southern Carribean cruise with the Meengs family. What a thought! Wish I were there now instead of sitting here in the cold snow! I'll post a few pictures each day while I reminisce and so that we aren't the only ones wishing we were in warm weather!

Here we are enjoying the self-leveling pool tables.

Snow Day!

Dylan & I finally got a chance to play out in the snow today. Hannah was taking a quick snooze inside, so we started out shoveling the sidewalk. The fun quickly turned into sitting in the snow, playing with his trucks, snow angels, and falling down in the snow just to watch the snow poof up around Dylan. He even climbed up the snow plow hill and rolled down. It was GREAT FUN! I probably loved it just as much as Dylan. I just love winter and it's been real hard to get out there lately. Tonight, Jon & Dylan spent some time out there sledding down the snow plow hill together. They had a great time too. Needless to say, Dylan crashed at bedtime. So much energy used up today! Maybe we'll get to build a snowman soon!!!

Thanks, Uncle Eric!

Thanks to Eric, this is what we've heard at dinner the last few nights...

"Pizza makes me fart." (giggle, giggle, smile)

Did you have to say that to our little copy-cat?

He also walks around farting and says, "I tooted." Then he smiles and laughs. Did you teach him that too?!?

We love you anyway... I think!

I'm 1 Month Old... plus some catch up!

Here I am when I was 1 week old...

And now I'm 1 month old!We have had a busy and wonderful month! Hannah is a great baby and we are having fun with her. She is awake more often now, and during those awake times she is very alert. Yes, she is smiling a little, mostly at her father... and that just melts my heart! It is hard to tell from the picture, but Hannah is packing on the pounds. She gained 2 pounds in 2 weeks (up to 9lbs. 1oz. already) and grew 3 1/2" since birth! She is a great eater. It is so hard to believe that she has grown that much in such a short time. I hope I never gain 25% of my body weight in 2 weeks! I purchased a new baby carrier (Dylan calls it Hannah's backpack) and love carrying her around. I think she loves it too because she doesn't want to sleep unless we're cuddling her close. We'll have to work on that, but I still love cuddling her in my BabyHawk! (Sorry Tara, no pics yet... I wear it mostly during the day and it's hard to take a decent picture of myself!) Overall, little Hannah Grace is a sweetheart and we love our "new" family!
On to other news...

Dylan continues to crack us up! Here are a few of his funnier moments...

This week, Uncle Eric got to watch Dylan for a while. When I got home, this is what Dylan looked like. Here's a snip-it of our conversation:

D: "Mom, Uncle Eric made my hair like a bird!"

S: "What???"

D: "Yeah Mom, like a hawk."

S: "What??? (pause) Oh! A mo-hawk!"

And he has asked us for his bird hair all week long!

Ever since I got home from the hospital, Dylan has known that he can't rough-house with me because "Mom has a big ouwie." Here is the conversation we had when I got back from my 6 week check-up:

S: "Dylan, the doctor told me that my big ouwie was all better now!"

D: "Yeah! You can do rough-house with me now... BIG rough-house!!!" (With arms waving up in the air!)

What a trip! He can be a little crazy sometimes and drive us nuts, but how can you not love the little guy!

He has also caught cabin-fever pretty bad lately. He would go away every night of the week if he could! What we need to do is play outside more often, but it is so hard with it being so cold and with Hannah around. I have to work on that. If only it would stay as warm as Tuesday (sunny and 55 degrees) instead of today (snowy and 30 degrees) we would be all set! So, if anyone wants a talkative little guy to run errands with, he's all yours!

There's my little update. Now to making a grocery list and finally taking down the tree (hopefully!).

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!
This is how we spent the last day of 2007... no big parties here. Just another night. Are we fuddy-duddies or what?!?
May God bless you this upcoming year. I know there are many exciting days in store for us! God is good... all the time!
