Dylan's Week

Dylan has been having a fun time since Hannah has come home. Although he is a little jealous, he mostly ignores her. Unless she is whimpering or crying... then he says, "Mom, Hannah is crying. Go get her." He also like it when she has the hiccups. He thinks she is hopping like a frog! =) How cute! Here are a few things that have kept him occupied this past week:

Dylan rides his loader EVERYWHERE! He will try to carry anything!On Monday, Grandma Westra came over after preschool with the leftovers from making gingerbread houses. She told Dylan the story of the gingerbread baby by Jan Brett, then built a house! Dylan loved it! I'm surprised he didn't eat all the candy first!

In the story, the gingerbread baby ran away from a little boy. The little boy decided to build a house to lure the gingerbread baby back home. As Dylan decorated his house, he made sure to put a few toys (candy corns) outside the front door for the baby to play with. After Dylan woke up, he found the gingerbread baby at his front door.

The final project. Notice the garden on the side with broccoli, blueberries, carrots, cauliflower, corn, and pumpkins. He also build a train on the side with Grandma. A little heavy on the candy... but who cares?!? Dylan LOVED it! Thanks for the fun Grandma!

Right now, Dylan is out for breakfast with Grandpa Westra & Uncle Eric. On Wednesday, he went to the GR Children's Museum with Brenda, Tim, & Austin. Yesterday, he went to Dr. Pott's office with us then out for Wendy's. What a full week! I think he'll be bored when it's just the 3 of us next week!!! I'm just glad he's enjoying himself... my little love bug!
