On Friday, my Grandma Minnie (Longstreet), had surgery to remove the lower lobe of her right lung because there was a mass inside that could be cancerous. Earlier today, she received the pathology reports. They said that the mass is an "atypical" form of cancer. She was supposed to see an oncologist tomorrow, but it worked out for him to meet with them today at 5:30. Please pray for good results and positive answers to the questions that are hanging in the air right now. Also pray for peace in whatever we may find out tonight!
God is good... all the time!
On a side note--- When talking to Dylan last week about this, he was wondering about what was in Grandma Minnie's lung. He thought about it for a minute then said, "I know! I think it's a fruit snack!" :)
**UPDATE**
They spoke to the doctor and all is well! She did in fact have cancer, but they removed all they could find. It was a type of lung cancer that only 5% of people have, which means they don't really have a treatment for it. The oncologist does not recommend chemo or radiation, so they will just watch her. Praise God for a good report! Hopefully she'll be able to come home tomorrow!
