On Friday, Grandpa Westra had the day off and asked Dylan over for a "Grandpa Day". How can a busy mom say no to that. Dylan was pretty excited, and when he found out what they were going to do, well, let's just say he was REALLY excited! Grandpa brought Dylan to AIS and they played on the big machines all morning. I'm not quite sure who had more fun, Dylan or Grandpa?!?
The gator was Dylan's favorite machine. He and Grandpa had to fill the trailer with rocks and pretend to drive it all around the yard.

Mesmerized by the big machineThey also got to watch a fork lift move big boxes and barrels and see a bulldozer get loaded onto a flatbed truck. It was pretty cold in the morning, so after some fun, they headed back home. What is Dylan's favorite thing to do with Grandpa? Play with his tools! When I got back to pick Dylan up, he and Grandpa were in the driveway pounding, screwing, and pulling nails out of the logs. Although Dylan did not want to leave, he was exhausted! He almost fell asleep on the way home!
Thanks Grandpa for some quality "grandpa-grandson" time, and for giving me the chance to get some things done! It's amazing how fast I can work without Dylan around!

Oh how nice that Grandpa could do that for you and for Dylan, too. It looks like he had a blast! Hope all is well there. Happy Halloween! :)
Grandpa also found out it takes seven golf balls to fill his garage floor drain! What a great grandson he is!! I really don't know who had more fun that day.
